Medical Technologist
IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST to work PRN shifts in our Laboratory. This position reports directly to the Laboratory Director. Medical Technologist obtains specimens from patients and performs established clinical tests and procedures. Interprets test results. Performs instrument and equipment maintenance. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class I.

Qualifications:
A. Education: Bachelors Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, or education requirements to meet licensure, registry or certification.
B. Personal job-related skills: Knowledge of medical laboratory collection, testing and use of equipment
C. Licensure, registry or certification: Registered by ASCP, AMT, ISLCT or HEW.
D.
Experience:
1. Prior Work
Experience: One year of medical laboratory experience preferred.
2. Technical Training: CPR training.
E. Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require moderate periods of sitting and standing, lifting up to 30 pounds. Must be able to hear equipment alarms and have vision to read labeling, instructions and to conduct tests.
